OpenItem’s app now includes a powerful Proxy Automation System, designed to ensure compliance with legislation governing Annual General Meetings (AGMs). In partnership with service providers, the system has been purpose-built to be robust, legally sound, and user-friendly. Ahead of the 2025 AGM, shareholders can use the mobile app not only to register for the AGM but also to appoint proxies directly from their smartphones. The app integrates with the CIPC, automatically incorporating company documents, trust deeds, and title deed conditions into each user’s profile. Any changes in shareholding or corporate structure are tracked, allowing users to seamlessly designate a representative to act on their behalf—securely and efficiently—through the app.
