Your phone becomes your secure digital key, eliminating the need for cards, remotes, or PIN codes. As you walk toward the door, Openitem recognises your device through encrypted Bluetooth and matches it to your verified profile. Permissions are checked in real time, and when everything aligns, the door unlocks instantly — either automatically as you approach or with a simple tap on your phone.
Every unlock event is recorded with time, user identity, and door location, creating a clear and auditable access history.

The hardware at the door
Smart Door Unlock issues and revokes the credential; the lock on the door is what acts on it. Openitem integrates with KK Smart Locks, whose range covers front-door and cylinder locks, hotel and student-accommodation locking, padlocks and smart utility metering — so the same phone credential works on a clubhouse door, an apartment entrance or a service gate.
Because the lock is IoT-connected, every unlock is reported back and lands in the same audit trail as the rest of the estate’s access events.
