KK Smart Locks
Openitem integrates with KK Smart Locks to extend access control to the door itself. Credentials issued in Openitem — for residents, staff, contractors or short-stay guests — can be honoured by the lock, so entry is managed in one place rather than through separately issued keys.
KK's range covers residential estates and apartment blocks, student accommodation, short-term rentals, hotels and co-working spaces, with more than 200 products across locking and smart-building categories.

How it works in Openitem
The locks are driven by Smart Door Unlock: a resident, staff member or contractor is issued a credential in Openitem, their phone becomes the key, and access can be revoked centrally the moment it should end — no card to collect, no code to change.
Every unlock is recorded with time, identity and door location, so lock events sit in the same auditable record as gate and visitor movements.
