The Openitem App allows users to capture their Medical ID as part of their User Profile. This can be done manually or by scanning various medical aid cards or a screen capture of a medical card in a digital wallet as supplied by Medical Aids.
User’s Medical Card Information captured as part of their Access Profile will display vital information so that it’s available for someone attending to an emergency and and before emergency contacts is notified in the event of an Emergency SOS.
Where these details are used
A Medical ID is surfaced to responders when the resident raises an SOS, so the people arriving already know what they are dealing with.
