Online Intelligence Signal Tower Integration
Openitem integrates with Signal Tower, Online Intelligence’s event monitoring and dispatch platform, so that security events raised in an Openitem estate — panic and emergency alerts, gate and access events, rule breaches — arrive in the Signal Tower control room as monitored signals, are categorised by severity and are dispatched to the right responder. Estates already served by an Online Intelligence control room get Openitem’s events in the same screens as their alarm, CCTV and ANPR signals.
What Signal Tower does
Signal Tower is Online Intelligence’s high-volume event monitoring and dispatch system. It extends the CiiMS platform with a control-room layer that receives signals from alarm panels, opening-and-closing schedules, IoT sensors and third-party systems, classifies each one as critical, technical or general, and puts new and acknowledged signals in front of operators on configurable control-panel screens. It talks to every transmitter type — internet, GPRS and radio — and to the leading alarm, ANPR/LPR, guard-monitoring, CCTV, fleet-management, IoT and industrial-control platforms.

- Resource dispatch and tracking — real-time assignment of responders, integration with fleet telematics for live-map tracking, automated arrival and departure logging and driver-behaviour reporting.

How the Openitem integration works
Openitem is one of the third-party systems feeding Signal Tower. When a resident presses the panic button in the Openitem app, a guard raises an emergency in the Guard app, or an access rule is broken at a gate or restricted zone, the event is delivered to Signal Tower as a signal carrying the person, location and time. Signal Tower classifies it, presents it to the operator, dispatches the responder and records the acknowledgement and outcome against the signal, so the estate’s incident history lives in one place.
The integration suits estates and communities whose security provider runs an Online Intelligence control room: Openitem handles identity, access and the resident’s side of the alarm, Signal Tower handles monitoring and response.
