IDEMIA MorphoWave Contactless Fingerprint
The MorphoWave range brings contactless fingerprint biometrics to access control: users are identified with a simple wave of the hand. IDEMIA's patented sensor scans four fingerprints in 3D and verifies them in under a second — fully touchless, hygienic and fast enough for the busiest entrances.
Embedded with IDEMIA's latest advances in artificial intelligence, the readers work reliably with wet, dry or dirty hands and even damaged fingerprints. The built-in card reader natively supports HID Prox, iClass, MIFARE, DESFire and mobile credentials, and can scan printed QR codes for visitor management.
Models
- MorphoWave XP — up to 100,000 user records in 1:N mode and up to 60 people per minute, with a large colour touchscreen and time-and-attendance support
- MorphoWave SP — up to 10,000 user records with a simplified interface via multicolour LED indicators
Both readers are IP65 rated and powered over Ethernet (PoE+), and the range is already integrated with more than 25 of the industry's leading access control systems — securing high-traffic access points in financial institutions, critical infrastructure, universities and healthcare organisations. Specifications are maintained by IDEMIA; see their site for the current range.
How it fits with Openitem
MorphoWave sits alongside the readers, scanners and controllers on our Hardware for Access Control range. A contactless fingerprint at the entrance complements Openitem's Touchless Access and Staff Time and Attendance features, with entries recorded in the same auditable movement log as gate and visitor activity.
