The same reader, where a full-size one will not fit. FAC’R Mini is a 5.5-inch IP65 terminal at 109 mm wide and 0.6 kg — narrow enough for a door mullion, a turnstile post or a plant room door that an 8-inch terminal overhangs.

It runs the same Android 14 platform, the same patented recognition algorithm at ≥99.72% accuracy and the same liveness detection as the full-size FAC’R, so a site can mix sizes without running two enrolment processes or two sets of behaviour. The trade is reach and screen: recognition out to 1.5 metres rather than 2, on a 5.5-inch screen rather than 8.

FITS WHERE THE RANGE OTHERWISE CANNOT

109 × 203 × 24 mm and 0.6 kg, wall-mounted. Specified where the mounting surface is the constraint rather than the throughput.

ADVANCED FACE RECOGNITION ALGORITHM

The same patented algorithm as the rest of the range — a 99.72% recognition rate on the LFW face database — with 1080p dual cameras and fill light reading from 0.3 to 1.5 metres in under a second.

LIVENESS AND MASK DETECTION

Liveness detection confirms a real person is present, and mask detection is supported, so a covered face is handled by policy rather than by refusing to read at all.

MULTI-FACTOR CREDENTIALS

Contactless card reading and software barcode decode are supported, with an optional FBI FAP 10 fingerprint sensor where a second factor is required.

RUGGED AND DURABLE

IP65 rated against water and dust, rated from −10 °C to 50 °C, with optional tamper protection — the same outdoor rating as the full-size terminal.

MOBILE DATA OPTION

Optional 3G/4G, so a gate or remote door with no cabling back to the estate network still reports in real time. This is the only terminal in the range that offers it.
